Jungle Gym Birthday Card

Hi everyone! Last month my toddler’s best friend turned two years old… actually both him and my son turned two (their birthdays are just two days apart) and seriously time flies! One day they were cute little baby boys that would just laugh and babble and now they are adorable boys with an abundance of energy and that love garbage trucks, dump trucks, monster trucks… let’s just say any trucks!!!! As such I wanted to make a cute birthday card for him!

To make this card:

  • I used the Jungle Gym stamps and dies from My Favorite Things. I stamped one of images in the stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it using Copic Markers. I used the coordinating die to cut out the colored image and a piece of white foam to put underneath the image for some added dimension.
  • To make the background or the border around my card, I used the two leave stamps from the GinaK Designs Just a Little stamp set. I stamped these two images all around the card border using two different green inks. I used Altenew dye inks in colors Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades.
  • To finish it off I stamped one of the adorable sentiments in the set in the front of the card. Inside the card I stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment from the Stampin Up! Cool Treats stamp set.

This was a fun, quick, and easy card to put together! Coloring really was the most difficult part of this card and I love me some coloring!

I hope everyone is having a great day!

Thanks,

Yami
