Pop-up Box Cards!

Hi! It’s been a long time since I make a post. The last few months I have been going through a challenging time in my life due to my diagnosis of breast cancer and I am currently undergoing my chemo treatment. That said, I have taken this time to spend time with my wonderful family and enjoy life to the fullest! That did include some crafting here and there, but till just recently I started to craft more often (plus we moved my little crafting nook to our bedroom… much better than the cold basement)! So for my first post back, I wanted to share two super special projects I recently made using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Box Pop-up Die.

The first card I made was for my mom. She recently had to go through many medical tests and had to have surgery. So I wanted to make her a cheerful card! Now my mom LOVES coffee (I do too!) and when I saw the Hero Arts August 2018 kit, I knew I had to use it. I stamped multiple of the coffee images that came with the kit and colored them with Copic markers. To some of the cups, I added sentiments from the kit which I heat embossed using WOW! white embossing powder. I also used some of the puffy embossing powder that came with the kit on the whipped cream images. I made the box using Kraft cardstock and gave it a design on the outside using a brick stencil from my stash.

The second card was for my niece’s birthday whose turning 9 (time flies!). She just found out she’s going to be a big sister and really loves to craft! I wanted her birthday card to be girly and fun, so I decided to use the Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends stamps and dies. I stamped multiple of the images from the stamp set and colored them using Copic markers. To build the box I used double sided paper from my stash. To make the background I used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Clouds Border Dies to cut the clouds and Distress Ink to color them using a sponge dauber. Note: To make the fairies look like they were flying, I adhered them to the box using clear acetate!

For both of these cards, I made matching envelopes using design paper and the We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board.

These two cards were soooo much fun to create! I absolutely love how both of them turned out!

Stay tune for more blog post! I hope to become more active on the blog in the next few months 🙂

Thanks,

Yami
