Oops! Texting Birthday Card

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a birthday card I made for a good friend of mine. My Friends and I have a group text going for years now that we use to stay connected and goof off a lot of times. So I thought it would be a great idea to use the Stampin’ Up! Text Ya Later stamp set to create a funny birthday card!

For this card, I wanted the text messages to be on a phone screen, so I created a phone using black cardstock, acetate, rectangle dies, and a round corner puncher. I mustly eyeball the measurements and luckily it turned out great! I stamped the text message images onto white cardstock and colored the text message bubbles using Copic markers. I also stamped the laughing smiley face multiple times, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with a circle puncher.

I got the card design idea from my own iPhone! There’s a feature when you text where you can send a message with a screen effect and have your message appear all over the screen for a second. So I thought it would be fun to have the laughing emoji on this card be all around the screen for fun!

To finish this card, I added a plaid background to the card base and mounted all the images on top. I absolutely love this card!!!! To me it was hilarious and a great card for a friend!
